It doesn't matter if it's digital. It's still theft no matter how you look at it.And yes, I've actually heard people use that as a justification for piracy. "HURR, U CAN'T STEAL SOMETHING THATS NOT THERE AHYUCK HYUCK"

Doesn't justify taking someone's work without compensating them for it.

I pirate music because I don't have money. Soon as I get a job I'll gladly pay.
it's fucking hard as hell to watch and keep up with TV series in the UK, none of the channels air the shows that I want to watch

All the opinions here are lacking the whole picture, and instead tackle the view from some really convenient angles whilst ignoring all the variables that come into play with such a huge issue. Doesn't really encourage me from investing time to realistically enter into the argument.
I don't pirate games unless I can't obtain them in the US. I fully understand and respect the amount of time and effort it takes to produce most videogames. Not paying for them is just wrong. Same goes for movies.Music on the other hand? Absolutely should be pirated. It's a fucking 2-3 minute sound clip. It takes minimal time and effort to edit and produce. Musicians can make their money by actually touring and entertaining. The Music industry is a fucking cancer.
