YouTubeAt what point do these things stop being isolated, unrelated incidents of idiocy and start becoming a problem with the religion?
A gay person wanting to be accepted into a religion is like a black guy wanting to join the KKK.

Your worth is determined by the enemies you choose.Christians are not a worthy foe. Although, amusingly, neither are gays.
I find this comparison extremely poor.

Quote from: IcyWind on December 08, 2014, 10:32:21 AMI find this comparison extremely poor. The point is about acceptance however. While the black may believe in white supremacy, he will find little toleration at a Ku Klux Klan rally, and the same is true with a lot of gays and religious institutions/movements.

Can gays not believe the same?
Yet, there are many religious denominations and affiliations that accept homosexuals

Not quite. Many religious denominations have begun, to some extent, accepting homosexuals.
When people, worldwide, stop treating a 2,000 year old book as a code of law and unquestionable truth.

I think I've made it abundantly clear what Christianity is truly about: loving people and loving God.

Is there any scripture that says tolerating gays is a sin? If not that would imply that it's OK to tolerate them but that they'll got to hell if they keep porking others of the same sex.

Matthew 22:36-40Jesus replied: β'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.β
