Humble yourself
Quote from: RocketRudolph287 on December 08, 2014, 02:20:15 PMHumble yourselfI could say the same to you. I find your reliance on the fact that everybody has, and is allowed, an opinion to be incredibly, incredibly arrogant. The fact that you or I has an opinion doesn't make that opinion in any way correct, or even respectable. All that matters is how closely our opinions track reality. Mine, to the extent of our knowledge, is much more reliable than yours - I can't even stress the difference there enough. Your assertion to the entitlement of opinion is nothing more than a red herring, and you should be mindful of such arrogance in the future. You're allowed to express yourself, but everybody else is allowed to call you out for making expressions which are quite patently wrong and frankly laughable.

like I apparently chose to be gay.
Quote from: RocketRudolph287 on December 08, 2014, 02:24:54 PMI simply stated my views. You however ask me 1,000 questions any time I post in here.It is rather annoying. That's usually because I need to question it in order to understand where you're coming from, since it's so far removed from anything I'm even familiar with. But I don't really understand why you come to a website around discussion - especially the serious section - and then get annoyed when people try to facilitate such discussion. I simply stated my views, you however never seem willing to actually engage in critical thought and analysis on any issues regarding your faith. It's rather annoying. Like I said, I respect your right to express your views here. But I have an equal right to question, criticise and reject them, whether you like it or not.
not other people being questioned, but simply me. That is why.
Quote from: RocketRudolph287 on December 08, 2014, 02:29:27 PMnot other people being questioned, but simply me. That is why. That's probably because people feel the need to question you since you pretty much refuse to engage in any meaningful and developmental discussion from the word go. I think it's an issue with you - not everybody else. I have no problem with being questioned for however long. If I don't understand the question, then I ask them to articulate it better. I only get frustrated when people are being exceptionally obtuse.
it always becomes 100% about my beliefs.
Don't want to lock the thread >.>
Quote from: RocketRudolph287 on December 08, 2014, 02:37:00 PM it always becomes 100% about my beliefs.Actually it evolved from a discussion about the pastor's expressions to the biblical nature of homosexuality and sin, and Max asking how you could split the difference between the person and the acts since nobody chooses to be gay. To which you articulated the point that you don't think it's a choice. Quotea horrible misinformed and potentially bigoted mindset.

If being gay goes against Christianity then please quote something from the New Testament that proves this. We all know that Old Testament arguments are out the window, seeing as people eat lobster, get haircuts, and wear mixed cloths and it's not seen as "sin"You can't pick and choose convenient scripture in Old Testament to follow while ignoring the rest.
Hey everybody what's going on. :^)
