There are lots of people who don't believe in god, but don't identify as atheists.
But they're still atheists.

2bh I'm getting sick of this identity politics fiasco.

If you're for equality then you're for equality. Whatever bullshit label you identify as is irrelevant, but I think most people are getting pretty tired of the authoritarian narrative third wave feminism is constantly shoving down our throats, hence the result of the poll.

Ironically, the entire problem we see with Feminism and other progressive groups are how willing they are to categorize and pigeon-hole entire demographics and apply stereotypes. Identity politics suck.

I think that's what the OP is saying, anyway: most people are feminists, but don't call themselves that to avoid the stereotypes assumed by the categorization.

I actually agree. But I'm smart enough, most of the time, to look past the stigmas that labels tend to have. Even with conservatives/republicans. And I think most people are, too. They just either refuse, or... don't entertain the possibility.

I find the difference in people identifying with equality for all genders vs those who identify with equality for women far more interesting. More people identify with the rhetoric that only women experience negative discrimination than people who recognize both sides experience it.

Err. Those two questions accompying each other is kind of redundant. I wonder how many checked one but not the other
