Christian Broadcasting Network host Pat Robertson on Wednesday predicted that gay men and lesbians would eventually “die out because they don’t reproduce.”

On Wednesday’s 700 Club, a woman named Crystal complained that her church had banned dating, and it considered showing interest in the opposite sex a “sin.” She said that the only married members of the church were people who had met their spouses before joining.

According to Robertson, this church faced the same threat as the LGBT community: extinction.

“You know, those who are homosexual will die out because they don’t reproduce,” the TV preacher opined. “You know, you have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce.”

“Same thing with that church, it’s doomed, it’s going to die out because it’s the most nonsensical thing I’ve heard in a long time.”

Robertson advised Crystal to “run” from her church, but he did not explain how LGBT people could “die out” if they continued to be born to heterosexual parents.

First, gay couples have biological children all the time. Look at Neil Patrick Harris and his husband.

Secondly, even if gays stopped having kids, homosexual children would still be born, because that's how it works.

He can say the wrong thing sometimes. This was one of those times.

Edit: Even better, WHY did he even bring homosexuality up? The question was about that church's attitude towards dating, relationships, and having kids. And it turned into "gays will die out"........
