So a while ago when my mom revealed to me that my sister is gay, I posted a thread on here asking if I should tell her I knew or just wait. Well the consensus was to let her come to the decision in her own time, and she finally gave me a call and told me. She seemed really relieved, and it really struck me how it's just fucking stupid that anyone would have to worry about that kind of thing. So if there's someone you know that's struggling with coming out, just be there for them and love them, because it really should be trivial.

Anyway, I'm not sure what sort of discussion to prompt. Just wanted to share this story.

For a while I thought one of my best friends might have been a little gay. Turns out he was just a metro-sexual hipster. Would've have still been my bro regardless, we've been m8s since junior high.

How am I in denial by not seeing how the things I posted on this site are not going to embarrass me inside or outside it? Even if one of you does post a link of my post history on my Facebook page the things I've posted are just stupid shit. Gay marriage is legal, and Phoenix is a pretty progressive city.

My brother was watching tv, I think some fashion show while I was on my phone, and out of nowhere he just blurts out "I'm Gay" out of nowhere. I look up, not hearing him correctly, he then repeats it and explains how the girls on the fashion show didn't arouse him at all.
It's good to note that he has been the Gay stereotype, but he made sure to explain he was straight, especially to our autistic brother who doesn't fully understand it....so says things he shouldn't. So this came straight out of nowhere.
To this day i'm the only one who knows in the family, agreeing that everyone will know when he comes to a family gathering with a boyfriend, calling out "by the way, i'm gay!"
