A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita.
Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty
and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
"Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.."
I suppose we all thought that one way or another.
They're taught to shoot when they feel that their life is in "danger," not so much deescalate. Using that excuse is what makes cops get away with killing so many innocent people in situations where it wouldn't of turned fatal otherwise. It's the good 'ol fashioned shoot first and ask questions later, and it's obviously a nationwide issue that people keep ignoring for some reason. It doesn't matter what side you're on politically, it should be pretty evident that this needs to be fixed.
