The only other breathing bodies in my house are two cats. Well I do care deeply for them, I lock the door to my house because I don't want any of my property to be stolen or damaged. Even then it's more of an insurance than anything, kids in this neighborhood even leave their bikes and toys out in the yard overnight. Chances are I could leave my door unlocked every night and nothing would happen, I'm not going to because I'm not stupid but the risk is very low.

The point I'm trying to make is: Most people are not evil in nature regardless of where they come from. Automatic assumptions based off a few bad apples is just silly. Is there a deeply rooted terrorist problem in the region? Maybe, but more often than not it tends to stay there. The fact that we were only going to have a hundred or so families a year come in from Syria shows how strict we already are, there's no point in cutting it entirely for the sake of "security" when we were founded on "Freedom" instead.

The British weren't using mustard gas on us when we were fighting them, and we had a lot of help from the French and Natives whereas the Syrians only get help from radical Jihadists.

The way the order was interpreted was VERY poor. One of my friends is stationed in one of those countries as an interpreter. He's Army. His wife is there with them, both US born. They had a baby on post, and they got a call from the State Department saying they couldn't bring the baby back to the US. Neither are Muslim and they were told for about 12 hours that their kid couldn't come back with them. The wife was posting everything on FaceBook until it was resolved.
