I don't see any practical way for the wealthy to be barred from power, and vice versa, although I do think that may be beneficial. Allow the lower class to largely control society while keeping the wealthy subservient, ineligible from enacting political change, but complacent because of how well-off they are. Sounds interesting.

They kind of go hand in hand. Those without money don't have the power to take the power from those with money.

Unless you want to charge a man in a tank with a stick. You can throw as many poor people as you want at a tank but nothing's gonna happen.

Not true, eventually the treads will be gummed with corpse mash and someone will be able to climb onto the tank.

The problem isn't the wealthy, it's the government. If I had a fuck-tonne of money I'd buy political favours too. I do think, however, they should be largely separate.
