It goes into a bit more detail about life in Germany prior to and after his rise.Schacht wasn't actually from the Nazi Party, but he was kept on because of his economic strategy was getting Germany out of the dirt, and reduced the Versailles repayments through Dawes and Young Plans (don't know much about them exactly, just that they reduced the repayments so Germany could concentrate on other things). He quit after 4 years, either out of stress or the fact he didn't like working for the Nazi Party, and then Goering took charge in '36 with his "4 year plan" to ramp up Germany's self sufficiency in preparation for war. I think he was still in charge of it by the 40's, as I recall at some point him stating Germany was now in a "war economy" - as in, everything went to the state, enjoy yer rations, and deal with it.
