Quote from: DAS B00T x2 on March 26, 2018, 08:41:33 PMPeople like you should really consider being more vocal in this whole debate man. I've been discussing this topic for a while now and can honestly count the number of reasonable pro-gun people I've encountered on both hands (and that includes people in real life). I'm sure it's no different on the other side but so many can't even get past basic platitudes ("criminals don't follow laws, that's why they're criminals duh") let alone actual facts, figures and research. It's damn refreshing being able to discuss these things with someone who doesn't just ignore most of the argument, dismiss high quality research as "garbage" because he doesn't like what the facts have to say, and thinks that "gun control doesn't work because place X has stricter rules but still high crime rates" is the argument that settles it all. More reason and logic might actually make an impact then for once.
You also didn't insult me, you agreed with me.
Regardless, that still was not insulting.
More reasonable and better educated people from either side are better equipped to help their own camp reach a more informed and factual conclusion than "the other" is.

The entire history of gun legislation and "compromise" on the subject is simply "Okay, we'll let you keep x in exchange for giving up y" or sometimes flat out "you lost popular support so we're taking away z and not giving you any consolation." and after enough of that, why wouldn't the old guys of the party dig their trenches and say "no fucking more, no matter what"

Yeah, you're just a troll. Figured this was the case from your first point but didn't want to at least give you a fair chance to see if the stupidity cleared up a bit. Guess I was wrong. SpoilerHAHAHAHAHAHA!The only stupidity I see here is yours. You are right about you being wrong, though.

Quote from: Shhhhhh on March 28, 2018, 01:37:00 PMso yeahtrump backing gun control policy at this stage is the equivalent of a wife beater handing over a lollipop to his wife after beating and/or raping her for over a yearIt's especially why I am glad I didn't waste my time voting for him like an idiot. I hated him when literally minutes after winning he made a speech kissing Hillary's butt. He promised us he would lock that criminal up, one of the main points of his entire campaign. He literally TOLD US she would be in jail if he were president. He was a liar just like the rest of them. He promised us more firearm freedom and is as big of a flip-flop as Barack. They should all be in prison.
