It's kind of jarring to see the country that has the label "melting pot" on it, has someone leading a party under xenophobic messages. Obviously that's not what Trump is all about, but it is the part of him that gets the media attention.
To point out the truth?
The term "melting pot" came from a time where the idea would now be considered racist because "Muh cultural appropriation". You have intensely strict immigration and you let in only those who were deemed a net gain on the country, and you assimilate only the benefits of the culture they came from. That was the melting pot, not this morphed....something we have now. Quote from: Verbatim on June 27, 2016, 02:25:07 PMTo point out the truth?I'm yet to see a single Millennial call out the Baby Boomers and back it up with some actual evidence that can be pinned down to truly generational traits. Black people committing the most crime is not comparable, because black people tend to live in neighbourhoods of lower socioeconomic status. That kind of observation cannot be applied generationally.
My idea of a melting pot is all the cultures mixing together to form something unique. And annoying if you look at American culture :<>
Yes there is
But still, a lot of people who voted Leave are regretting it.
If you're so stupid to not do your research and actually understand whats at steak, that's no one elses fault but yours.
Quote from: Luciana on June 27, 2016, 03:10:59 PMIt seems to me like you should be more angry at the 64pc of Millennials who didn't go out and vote, as opposed to all the oldies who exercised their democratic right.

LOLNo, you don't. America really only started getting strict with immigration after 9/11. Otherwise it was a country that got flooded with people from every corner of the globe and most of them were what we would consider today "illegal immigrants".
That's pretty rude
