Don't women have to go through much more pain than men? Guys don't have to deal with periods and childbirth. 'Pussy' could arguably just be another way of saying scaredy cat though, but still.

Breasts on women are, for some reason
Quote from: Arren on May 03, 2016, 06:24:04 PMBreasts on women are, for some reasonBecause they're a symbol of fertility and maternity. They're baby-feeders, and large baby-feeders, from a primitive biological perspective, have a greater likelihood of propagating the species than smaller ones do. It's not that complicated.
Doesn't matter. What's socially acceptable for men HAS to be socially acceptable for women.
Quote from: SecondClass on May 03, 2016, 06:30:42 PMDoesn't matter. What's socially acceptable for men HAS to be socially acceptable for women. So you're saying the acceptability of a social norm for women is contingent upon whether it's acceptable for men? In other words, men come first? That's kinda sexist, isn't it?No, it's not a question of what should be "acceptable." It's a question of what should be unacceptable. All sexuality should be socially unacceptable.
If it's unacceptable for women to not wear tops, then it should be unacceptable for men to not wear tops.
Quote from: SecondClass on May 03, 2016, 06:35:02 PMIf it's unacceptable for women to not wear tops, then it should be unacceptable for men to not wear tops.I completely agree. You'll never find me with a shirt off, and if I were in shape, no woman would ever be able to coax me into it.I was only giving a simple explanation for why female breasts are considered sexually appealing, because a lot of people are like, "durr, FOR SOME REASON, these balls of fat are considered appealing!!! humans r weird!!!"Annoying.

Oh, I see what you mean. I thought you were saying it as a justification for the double standard.
Rude, but alright.
Quote from: SecondClass on May 03, 2016, 06:43:52 PMOh, I see what you mean. I thought you were saying it as a justification for the double standard.Definitely not. I would love for women to be able to go shirtless and braless just like men, without having people fawn over her, but that's just not reality. You can't just take sexuality out of the equation, unless you start teaching people that it's disgustingly carnal and primitive behavior. You know, instead of glorifying it in the media. But no one's going to agree with that, because it makes their penises cold and lonely.
Still waiting for public nudity to be legal tbh
I also read that the study showed men like the curve of the back to put ratio more than the butt itself. That has to do with the primitive thing that, when a woman is pregnant, they can be more mobile when they have the curve in their back due to the spine being able to support the weight.Which is probably why everyone loved female butts in Halo Reach. Dat back arc.Our brains are weird. As intelligent as we are, it is very odd indeed how the most basic things remind us that we're still animals in the end. Honestly, I find it fascinating how a race as intelligent and advanced as we've become, still abides to the most basic of basic things.Anyone know what I mean?
i know exactly what you meanit would be interesting to see how mass fetishes develop, as well--like, thigh gaps are huge right now, and like... why
Is it really that difficult to figure out why sexual organs and sexualized body parts are considered inappropriate for public settings?
Quote from: HollowedTurkey on May 04, 2016, 11:34:34 AMIs it really that difficult to figure out why sexual organs and sexualized body parts are considered inappropriate for public settings? If our answers are simplistic, not really. When trying to identify what precedents contribute to our codifications of norm the depth of inquiry can actually contribute to the conversation, however.
