What people fail to realize is that raising the minimum wage on a local scale usually boosts the local economy...if that wage stays isolated to that locale (i.e. the cities surrounding the area don't raise theirs).Problems with raising the minimum wage come into play when it's raised on a state or national level.

But a national raise would raise the cost of living. How else can MOSt businesses afford to pay all their workers more if they decided to not cut their hours?
