Soldiers do get kidnapped/abducted in combat.

The more you know...

I dunno...abducted gives an air of innocence surrounding it. Considering any conflict isn't exactly innocent, I wouldn't really use the term kidnapped/abducted unless it was a civilian. Might I add these articles are from the captured soldier's side, so of course a bit of bias to be expected.


I just find it odd how an invading force has it's soldiers captured in enemy territory during a war, and yet can still spin it to make the other side look bad (Just look at the articles you provided). Granted, Hamas certainly aren't "good" in any regard seeing as there was to be a supposed ceasefire when this occurred (ignoring the use of neutral/UN zones/hospitals/schools for weapon caches and whatnot...), but Israel has to be joking if they're trying to look like the good guys in all this.

They aren't trying too look like a good guy. They do not care. They dimly want to stop Hamas and secure peace for Israel.

You cannot wage war and attempt to look like a good guy.

Wars sole uprise is to kill your enemy.

They want to wipe the Palestinians out, Israel doesn't deserve to exist.

If the US hadn't interfered with Hitler, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

Hamas wants to destroy Israel.

Palestine voted in and supports Hamas.

Therefore Israel has every right to fight them.

Hamas is fighting for the right of return of the Palestinian people.

Read their covenant/doctrine. You are missing some key ideals.

Did you know that Hamas purposely target children, weddings, schools, school buses, bus stations and universities with suicide bombers and drive by shootings?

Palestinian Jews has nothing to do with the fact that Hamas are in fact terrorists and that their actions are no better than that of Israel's who are only defending their citizens against such terrorist actions?
