People should just be nice to each other regardless of gender or whether or not you think they're sexually appealing.
It's probably because you're a creepy looking fella with a crooked smile who's flapping a sausage around all day. Tends to be a turn-off for the ladies.
It's like yelling "I have an interest in you, yet I don't know you at all!" and certain days you just don't want to hear any of that.
Personally, it would annoy me when someone that I just met tried to be full of chivalry. I wouldn't mind a male friend, or someone that I know, but when it's a total stranger I just had a small talk with... Well I'm really nice to girls. I guess I'm one of the rare cases of a guy that wasn't a douche and still got a pretty substantial amount of poon from pretty hot girls. But yes there is this developing thing with girls of this generation where being polite is considered "weird".

It was a stupid concept anyways. Why do you think it's stupid?Gender roles blah blah blah.In this day and age, women want to feel independent and that they can do things on their own without being treated like they need a man's help every step of the way. Before you go off complaining about me saying this, why do you think men try to be "chivalrous" in the first place anyway?Honestly, it's completely true that for a lot of women, guys are only nice with them if they want to sleep with them.
