Except that'll never happen.
because they get bulliedduhif we treated people like fucking human beings, it wouldn't be an issue at allhas nothing to do with sex/procreation and everything to do with discriminationthat's the root of the problem, and you're a big part of it, bubba
gender dysphoria is nothinggender is meaninglessit doesn't hurt you at all, in any way whatsoever, to feel like you belong in the opposite genderand if someone is uncomfortable about their dysphoria, then that's their own problemif you're not stupid, you won't give a fuck what your gender isharsh, but true
Yeah, uh, gender dysphoria is actually something that exists
it can be the root of other mental problems (like depression).
Bro, Verb, dysphoria has so much to do with your physical body that eliminating any nuance of gender roles in society still wouldn't help it. Didn't you ever talk to Soph about this?

They're in anguish because they think they're "in the wrong body. Had nothing to do with bullying. And I don't bully transgendered or dehumanize them, so you can shove that up your ass.
They're in anguish because they think they're "in the wrong body.
I'd like to throw out there that Gender Dysphoria is a subset of Body Dismorphic Disorder, a Somatoform/ Somatic Symptom Disorder. It's not as simple as eliminating the concept of gender; it's a problem of the brain not being able to reconcile what it perceives to be grave physical deformities.

Quote from: Verbatim on June 03, 2015, 05:35:28 PMI think saying it's "nothing to worry about" is a bit unfair when you also acknowledge that it has social consequences, and our happiness depends largely on social integrationBut I've only read the last page so maybe you covered this.

Removing gender may make it easier, but it still doesn't remove the fact that women and men are biologically different, and this causes dysphoria because they feel they're stuck in the wrong body, transitioning makes this easier by making them match their preferred sex as closely as possible. Since it's not actually possible to change your sex, changing your gender is the closest that you can get.
Except it does. That's why a lot of them commit suicide. Just stop. You don't have a leg to stand on here.
I'm starting to think gender dysphoria is the result of some physiological or psychological imbalance that causes general unhappiness with ones sex regardless of sex, since 20pc regret sexual reassignment and 40pc still go on to commit suicide.

I mean, through the eyes of someone with Gender Dysmorphia, gender isn't the problem; that is already down-pat. The body is the issue.
