What did he get banned for this time?
Well, Kupo's not wrong. Metadata can be very revealing. However, the processing of personal data is a bit more of a pressing matter and can cover sets of metadata too. You need a strong legal framework with sufficient safeguards to ensure privacy, which is currently lacking in a lot of countries.

They still show the red message, but we can reveal what they said.

cutting up posts
and only replying to the unimportant semantics you can think of a rebuttal for.
Quote from: Solonoid on March 11, 2016, 02:06:20 AMcutting up postsYou mean not wasting page space and responding to the only bits that matter?Quoteand only replying to the unimportant semantics you can think of a rebuttal for.Except I don't do this, ever.Caring about privacy is for retards; Joseph Goebbels had it right.
Good argument.
Nice staying-on-subject skills. This is what "muh privacy" babies resort to when they have no arguments--they stray from the subject and start sperging out about irrelevant bullshit, like their opponent's posting habits.
Instead of addressing the issue you reacted to the tactics I used, completely ignoring everything
, and I'm genuinely convinced the only reason you don't quote people when replying is because you hope they won't notice you posted and then the argument will end and it will look like you won, even though you just spent the entire time rambling about semantics and irrelevant nuances.
Quote from: Solonoid on March 11, 2016, 02:32:57 AMInstead of addressing the issue you reacted to the tactics I used, completely ignoring everythingBecause comparing someone to a Nazi because of their opinions on privacy is extremely lowbrow and not worth taking seriously. It's just an insult--you may as well have just called me a shithead or an evil cunt or a retard. You're not contributing anything of value to the discussion, and you're just shitflinging. And that's fine, but this is the Serious board. If you have a point, make it.Quote, and I'm genuinely convinced the only reason you don't quote people when replying is because you hope they won't notice you posted and then the argument will end and it will look like you won, even though you just spent the entire time rambling about semantics and irrelevant nuances. You think way too hard about these things. One of the reasons I do it, and will continue to do it, is because I know it bothers you so much. It AMUSES me.
You straight up quoted one of the most notorious fascist leaders in the history of the world
Also you just admitted to being an insufferable cunt for the sake of giggles.
Quote from: Solonoid on March 11, 2016, 02:49:00 AMYou straight up quoted one of the most notorious fascist leaders in the history of the worldFalse. It was a fairly common meme at the time, and Goebbels did not come up with it himself. The phrase can be traced back to Upton Sinclair.QuoteAlso you just admitted to being an insufferable cunt for the sake of giggles. You're literally the only person who is sensitive enough to care if I quote them during discussions or not. If that makes me an insufferable cunt, then yes, I fully embrace it. Thank you.
I don't think it matters who said it first, the fact remains it was a mentality that allowed the holocaust to happen.
Quote from: Solonoid on March 11, 2016, 03:01:26 AMI don't think it matters who said it first, the fact remains it was a mentality that allowed the holocaust to happen. Many things allowed the Holocaust to happen--to blame it on a harmless truism would be trivial. And of course, correlation does not imply causation. You've failed to attack the logic at its core. If I have nothing to hide, why should I be afraid?
