Due to having very little empathy for other people, I have pretty much no remorse for anything I've done which could be considered immoral. I'm fairly sure I could be called a pathological liar, and can act in considerably manipulative ways. Especially when angry, I can have the intense desire to bully people either verbally or physically.
do you think that the laws/social expectations of your area can act to fill in the gaps for your lack of guilt/empathy?
Internet has no sympathy. Why do you think everybody makes 9/11 and princess crashana jokes
Most of the emotional stuff sounds normal, at least from my point of view. Honestly, you're just kinda like me, except a lot less fearful and more of a dick.
would you murder an innocent person if you were sure you would get away with it?

It isn't simply going from moderately happy to frustrated, it's going from fairly joyous to intensely angry. Or, more often than not, from depression to rage.
What kind of rage we talking?

I can come to the logical conclusion that psychopathy is probably the most effective evolutionary mindset
I almost feel like I'm hardwired to feel empathy. I can come to the logical conclusion that psychopathy is probably the most effective evolutionary mindset, but I can't actually hurt other people for the betterment of myself.
doesn't make it any less fucked up
Quote from: RC5908 on November 18, 2014, 04:12:28 PMdoesn't make it any less fucked upI didn't say you'd find it any less fucked up. I'd just have thought that, coming into a discussion about psychological disorders, you'd have expected some sort of level of fucked-upedness as to find commenting on it asinine.

I'm saying when you found yourself in a situation where that was an appropriate question, you probably should've been aware enough of the possibilities and the context of the discussion to, on some level, expect what the answer could've been. Knowing a person is potentially a psychopath, and then acting in some way offended when they say they could kill a person is like being disgusted when you ask a homosexual if he'd ever have a cock in his ass.
but it's possible that psychopathy is the next evolutionary step for humanity.
you're acting as if i expected this to go another way.

It's quite literally the emotional foundation for all of civilisation.
