How Many of You Have Actually Used A Gun?

I'm interested. Who here has used a gun for recreational purposes: either hunting or target shooting? Military or law enforcement counts too. Understanding what guns are is important before you join the ban bandwagon. I do not currently own a gun, but I have had some limited experience doing target shooting. I am not some redneck gun weeaboo, but I have a basic knowledge and respect of what they are. If you have used a gun, whats your opinion on the gun control issue?

I'm fairly impartial to them bringing it to the UK though. I wouldn't have any sttong feelings either way.

I've been around firearms my whole life, and around many different opinions of them, the funniest being my grandfather's, who views them solely as tools to hunt with and thinks that people who buy semi-auto funz for range shooting are idiots.

I've fired a variety of long guns and some primitive firearms, but at the end of the day all I know is that I love my issued m16 and want to build my own AR for shooting range fun.
If it weren't so expensive to start, I'd love to get in to three-gun competition eventually. There's a sportsman's club nearby that holds some amateur events over the summer.

shot some at the range, 12 gauge which bruised my shoulder when I was 12

shotgun when hunting with my father, though I forget what it was

pistols here and there, glock being my favorite both in design and how it feels
