According to some of Germany's top business owners, the government is becoming complacent as the German economy - which has been the powerhouse of the Eurozone - is showing signs of slowing down.

Their remarks come after much-disliked policies have been enacted by the German government, including the creation of the country's first-ever minimum wage and the reduced retirement age for long-term workers. Germany's national chamber of commerce have also opposed the policies, as structural problems will only add to the issue of declining consumer confidence in Germany due to the crisis in Ukraine.

This problem is also going to make the ECB's battle with low inflation all the more difficult, and increase the likelihood of quantitative easing (which should've been done a long time ago, anyway).
