Is this type of weaponry really necessary?
Quote from: IcyWind on December 10, 2014, 10:23:27 PMIs this type of weaponry really necessary?Well it does cost a $1 to fire it, so there's some cost efficiency when compared to conventional explosives

People were opposed to the military investing in aircraft, but look how it has transformed society

the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
And the DoD doesn't't have authority over infrastructure. This money came from the DoD budget. Would you rather have the military to produce unwanted tanks, or invest in future technology that will expand d New industries

Holy crap, are those explosions a result of the laser, or is it hitting explosive targets? Also, now Halo is going to get retconned more so humans "always" had laser weaponry. They did it with railguns, they'll do it with this. Obviously the Spartan Laser is the pinnacle of human laser tech, but still.
In a shorter amount of time, US AA guns will probably be replaced by lasers.
