The media keeps trying to sensationalize it and make it seem like we're in it to bully women and harass people, but the reality is all we want is journalistic integrity.

Also moot is a traitorous sellout whore.

The problem is a lot of these journalists are using games media as a way to push their social ideology and politics, and they're all in bed with each other, pushing out anyone who won't follow the lead.
Then you have the patreon money getting passed around, and devs sleeping with journalists.
You can't trust anybody's word anymore.

The whole situation is a mess.

It's a pain but it's necessary.

Basically a whore slept with a bunch of dudes, then her boyfriend posted an article about it subsequently resulting in mass collusion amongst the gaming press to literally denounce gamers and label their identity as gamer as "dead". #NotYourShield starts up and is consistently silenced and ignored by the gaming press.

Harassment was relevant for about two weeks before the gaming press decided to pull their little stunt. At this point everything Gamergate has stood for is journalistic integrity and ethics. No one has yet to prove any causal link between Gamergate and harassment. All abuse we've seen have originated from rogue twitter accounts and trolls. The people trying to sell you this crop of bullshit just want to propagandize and push their disingenuous victim narrative for women.

I haven't been following gamergate for a while now, has the movement even done anything lately? All I know is that people on the anti-gg side have been acting like the fucking inquisition, targeting anyone who's even sympathetic to gamergaters.

As much as the media wants to make it about "muh saw ginny", it's not about suppressing women's sexuality. The issue is that the people she slept with were journalists who wrote about her. If you don't think that is a huge breach of ethics on her part and theirs, you have to be be retarded.

It is a major scandal within the gaming industry, and it does involve important political issues, like how the press are basically a club that can do whatever they want and slander or blacklist anyone who speaks up against the agenda. This is true of all press, not just in gaming.

I'm sure it does, it's just as many videos and commentaries I've watched and read I can't find any semblance of an interest in it. I just don't care about it. Game reviews are hardly objective and hard-hitting, and that's all the scope of gamergate is. I recognize it's important to many people, but I can't relate to that feeling at all. Sorry bruh.
