but what if you don't generally listen to happy/positive music

as long as you like the music you listen to (and the emotion it elicits), i'd assume that the more pronounced effects would be more enjoyable (or at least more appreciated).

I'd first like to say that I never search out drugs, the opportunities present themselves to me if that makes sense. I don't do them just because i'm bored or to get throughout the day or whatever.

 Marijuana is cool. I smoke it occasionally, few times a month if that. I sometimes get pretty paranoid if I'm extremely high which can suck. I only smoke if I'm with a few close friends, parties and the like are definitely out of the question. Also I hate the feeling the next day of a clouded mind

I'd say edibles are a different high than just smoking it, insane body feelings and time perception is fucked. My first time eating an edible I listened to a song play for what I thought was 3 hours(4 minutes max) and I would imagine things that weren't actually happening. I'd say edibles are psychedelic like tbh. I have a buddy that ate an entire 20 dose brownie (cost like $60) and it fucked him up bad, we almost took him to the hospital and he now dissociates from time to time(mild psychosis)

Alcohol is fun at parties or social events only, could never ever imagine getting drunk by myself or just at home. I'm gonna admit though, I LOVE being drunk. I'm extremely happy and sociable when intoxicated. People have told me I'm one of the funnest drunk people they've partied with(no brag) I tend to drink a lot though on the occasions I do drink which is once or twice a month.

Cocaine made me feel like a king. I felt smooth and talkative and it was like pre workout x 1000. I've only done it once though and honestly I don't know if I'd do it again. I see it mess a lot of people up and it's terrible for you.

LSD was insane and it was the craziest day of my life. I can't explain what I felt because those emotions were only accessible when tripping on LSD, and I hate how cliche it sounds but that's the only way to describe it. I loved looking at things and I wasn't disoriented like I am when high or drunk. You felt like a normal you except that every now and then you'd realize the entire world is trippy as fuck. Also pupils were extremely dilated. However not sure if I'd do it again anytime soon(in the next few years). First off because the trip lasted 12 FUCKING HOURS which you don't realize is a super long time until you've been tripping for 6 hours and feel exhausted, like you've been awake for a month, only to realize you have 6 more hours of it left. Very unsettling feeling especially when tripping. Also because I've noticed a lot of my friends who trip frequently tend to have worse and worse trips the more they do, like their is a decline in quality of trips, and bad trips can really mess you up.

I will note that the days after LSD I was extremely happy and colors still seemed to jump out at me a little more. Even this past month I've been unusually positive but not sure if that's from the afterglow still or just my life is good.

Someone who isn't me has also done a very short run of a DHT derivative oral steroid. The effects beside muscle hardening and strength ect were aggressiveness. Little things that normally set me off made me really mad, and I was cold and mean sometimes. Also more horny than normal(a different DHT steroid that got leaked into a pond on accident literally made male fish rape female fish lol wtf)

I've had experiences with several substances other than just weed. Some good, some bad, but nothing hardcore. Shrooms is the furthest I've gone but thoroughly enjoyed it.

About the same as being reeeeally tired and closing your eyes while listening to music, only you don't fall asleep immediately. Pot's really overhyped.

Sure, but that doesn't necessarily make them superior. Painkillers like vicodin are way more addictive than cannabis.

My boss took me out to smoke weed for the first time a few weeks back, and I regret it immensely. There are many who find enjoyment in having their mind entering and staying in an altered state, but I'll be that guy and say it was one of the worst and most terrifying things I've experienced; it just felt so utterly wrong that I just wanted it to stop.

Maybe I'm just being a baby or am too stuck in who I am, but I will never be doing that shit again.

you see some weird lights and textures, but you're generally still pretty aware. if you do enough, though, it becomes more like an acid trip and you can freak the fuck out.
