there's more to it than noticing nuances. if i pay attention, i can notice everything while i'm sober that i can while i'm high. but, most things (including listening to music) are simply more enjoyable when stoned. it's difficult to say why exactly things are more fun, but i think it's generally because you're a lot happier with whatever is going on.for music, it isn't just about noticing the nuances. you feel emotions more substantially when you're stoned, and the emotions elicited by the music naturally are felt more intensely. so, as long as those emotions are positive, it's a much more enjoyable experience than when sober.[7]

Because that can easily just fuzz the edges of my rationality, fuzz the edges of my reasoning powers. And I want to be as aware as I possibly can. That may mean giving up a lot of fantasies that might be comforting in some ways, but I’m willing to give that up in order to live in an actually real world.
Anyone ever try listening to music while smoking pot? Curious as to the effects on your perception of it, during the high and later when you're sober again.
