Country music, less so on the pop-country side, is the musical embodiment of typical Southwestern conservativism.
But look at the entire punk movement, too--extreme leftist ideology here, and blatantly so.
Plus there's a whole subculture of conservatarian punk rock that doesn't get a whole lot of attention.

Even still, I'd argue that's a very "safe" genre to be making music in.I haven't seen a great deal of Clint Eastwood's films, but I would imagine that they would contain some right-wing undertones. Maybe. Maybe not, since he's still rather popular among even left-minded people, just because he's a delightful actor.

Gary Barlow is a conservative.
I think Marty O'Donnell was known for being one of the more conservative members of Bungie.Ted NugentI think Johnny Cash leaned to the rightI remember the singer for Oingo Boingo used to be pretty conservative
I think most art mediums are dominated by liberal/progressive people because art is all about doing new things and exploring new areas, which isn't exactly in line with conservative thinking.

Conservatism revolves around preservation of the status quo, which conflicts with much artistic thinking. The two seem diametrically opposed, to me.
I'm an artist and I'm socially conservative on a number of issues. But economically I'm pretty far left.
