Yeah, that's one reason why gun control will never happen in America. But seriously, 300 million guns, you cant take even half of them without military action and probably hundreds of death. Not to mention you could literally just bury a bunch of guns. If the government attempted to buy the guns, almost no one would sell them back to the government.

They're also trying to pass a law that lets people only buy 1 gun per month I think. Don't know how that one is gonna turn out. Sucks for gun collectors if that does though.

That's not really what this law does, and if it was the goal, they've done a shit job.

A man in Wisconsin was arrested for getting silenced submachine guns from FBI plants, who were informed of the issue because of a couple informants.

Granted I haven't read the entire law, but I do agree with you that before the police ram down your front door and apprehend your guns, there should be at least some solid verification that you're mentally unstable and that some family member (or someone posing as a "3rd cousin twice removed") isn't just pulling a fucking prank.

Yes they do, all the time. There are countless cases of violent people making threats or harassing their victims before actually attacking them.
