I have heard other teams pray, and occasionally they do pray for a win.

Wouldn't you rather put such successes down to your own efficacy as a coach? You could be a very good coach, but the delegation of your potential to God could hurt your ability. What about when there are injuries? Or bad events? Do you blame God as equally as you praise him for the good?
