The reason why we can't have it is because it would put thousands of people out of a job. Yes I can see the problem with that but overall the way alcohol is handled over here is retarded and just one major inconvenience. Probation ended years ago but in PA it's pretty much going on to an extent. Alcohol is still being treated like it's something that we should all avoid. It's about time we grow up and get with the times. We can buy guns at Walmart but we can't buy a six pack. That just makes no sense at all.

beer distributors aren't going to to take the hit that the want to to believe.
Those employed in a wine and spirits shop can find work in the new private stores. They're not afraid of losing their job, they're afraid of losing their state gov't benefits.

That is true. Sure some places will close down but it's not going to be everyone. Since a state store and a distributor sells only alcohol they would usually have a better variety which will keep them open.
