I think Alabama tried the same with gay marriage. It's okay, those states will be reigned in by the federal government, it just takes a bit.Though this shows why state and federal rules being separate is retarded. Only times I can think of it being useful is tightening gun laws on some places and making weed legalthough the federal government made it illegal in DC after the people voted it legal......I think it's safe to say the American government is a shit.

This bill is great. The federal government can fuck off when it comes to trying to limit the rights of American citizens, especially when it comes to being able to defend themselves, or collecting guns for sport or just as a hobby.

I hear you were in the Airforce, so you should have every right.

I hear you were in the Airforce, so you should have every right. There are certainly people who should not have one, and from what I understand, the state would still have laws in place regarding background checks and who can and cannot own a gun. From my understanding it prevents unconstitutional gun laws from being enforced, which is a good thing. Regarding me being in the Air Force, even if I were not, I still think I have every right to own a firearm. I have been around them my whole life because of my family, and know how to use them safely, and maintain them. I own eight firearms and have thousands of rounds of ammo in my closet and go shooting occasionally with my family, either to waste ammo and have fun, or to seriously practice aim and how to use each weapon effectively. Between everyone in my family we probably have around sixty firearms.

I know chances are it WONT, but the fact I have to actually worry about that is kind of scary.I know that feeling very well. I work at an Elementary school and hate the fact I have no means to protect myself or others.

Supremacy Clause means the state can't do jack shit about federal laws.

And this is why you're an idiot.

is going to trigger a Civil War over Rights in general.
You've never lived in a Pro-gun environment?

The American Civil War was about States rights, but the main focus was slavery. So another Civil War could be brooding and this time, it'd be about State rights and the main focus would be about Guns. See what I mean?
