Mr. P is a lapsed Tory, and I certainly think he's naturally conservative in a similar way to me, although I'd hesitate to call him ideologically conservative.
TBH, I really don't care if others think my beliefs are "intelligent" or not. I only believe in whatever is going to benefit me most personally, which happens to be Conservatism/Libertarianism. I don't care about the well-being of the poor, I care about the well-being of me.
