Are mail delivery services in other countries are as bad as what they are here?

For the USPS I didn't receive my package yesterday due to this reason "No Secure Location Available". The thing though is that my package is a $5 "RC battery connector which can easily fit inside my mailbox.

For FedEx there are some items which you can't sign for online, so you have to go out of your way to find a printer so you can print out the release form. What makes it even better is that the driver for my iPhone ended up delivering it to the house next to me.

Then there's the UPS. I don't know if they stick to a person having to be at least 21 to sign for a package, but if they do then that's one hell of an inconvenience. I know there's UPS Choice, but the problem there is that it's up to the buyer to find out about it. The note they leave behind if they miss you(Which most likely is nearly everybody in America due to us working during their delivery hours) does not say anything about it. It's as if they want to fuck over the people they are delivering to.

So then for you users who don't live in US, are you mail/package services as bad as they are here?

The PO is an absolute debacle and they manage to make it worse every single year.

You know you can just sign the missed slip from UPS and they'll leave the package on your porch the next day, right?

It's very rare that I have a problem with USPS though, and I frequently have deliveries coming for me. They've been surprising me pretty well this holiday season too.

I've only ever had one problem with the mail here and that's when UPS hid a package next to the garage instead of leaving it by the door like they normally do.

I can't remember which service it was but I once had a parcel left in the rubbish bin. Thankfully it wasn't bin day

the only problem I've ever had is when fucking fed ex destroyed the jewel case for my Sm4sh soundtrack from club nintendo.

other than that I've never had problems beyond the usual leaving the package at the wrong entrance, despite leaving clear instructions in the 2nd address line.
