It's always been about more pressing issues Revolution was about creating our own nation with representation that we lacked in the British government at the time, Civil War was about slavery and the divide between North and South, World Wars had nothing to do with speech, War on Terror is...not even sure what to describe it as.At most, it's simply a nice right that was thrown in during out creation as a union and has become common in democracies. These people were killed because they exercised their right to freely express themselves.

showing aborted fetus pictures hurts the cause more than it helps.

It wasn't over anti-abortion rhetoric. This guy had a sign that said "Harmful speech is not free speech"He was one of the loudest ones arguing people but I got him to talk to me for a second. I asked what his sign meant and he said freedom of speech and the first amendment were 200 years old and outdated And I just snapped. I've never been so disgusted by something a person has said to me. I do my share of banter online but hearing a real live human being declare his right to free speech outdated just broke me. I really don't know how to feel about anything tight now. I cannot believe this is really happening to my generation. In that moment I experienced real despair for the first time in my life. I feel defeated and hopeless.I know it sounds stupid to you guys but I think my optimism has just been destroyed for good.

I wonder how many of them support the death penalty and what their stance on better gun control is.

To say that pro-life and pro-death-penalty are incompatible or hypocritical opinions to hold is retarded. One being is an innocent child who hasn't done anything, the other is a convicted criminal. It's nearly as retarded as the nuclear arms line that anti-2A'ers spew to make 2A supporters look like fucking nut jobs.
