Actually, your property isn't yours. Irrelevant to the link, but when you take out a loan you're also taking out something called a lien. A lien is a notice attached to your property telling the world that a creditor claims you owe it some money. So when you don't make your payment, the the person who you gave you the lien has the right to keep possession of property until the debt is payed off, that's either if the person pays the amount owed or the bank/whoever sells it and makes money back

She owes the bank, not a corrupt entity. The government has no authority to demand anything.

Actually, the government does. Taxing and Spending Clause of the Constitution states:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defenceand general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.

This is also a concurrent right, meaning it's branched out to state governments

Funny how they don't go after the rich who more commonly evade taxes.
