Probably worth noting that this doesn't really look like a plan for a European Army, per se, but just more integrated battlegroups.

The battle groups aren't legally binding. A Member State can just say, 'nah, not gonna contribute', and the EU will say, '

The military is too demonized in contemporary Germany. People hate the soldiers of their own country. It's pathetic.

From the people I've met that did tours during Reforger, that doesn't right at all.

I don't think they would hate their own soldiers, they don't really have a reason to maybe they just can't buy into the possibility of war

Well there's still a lot of shame in germany over WWII and related stuff. I guess that factors into it a lot.

From the people I've met that did tours during Reforger, that doesn't right at all.

Apparently there is a fairly popular movement in Germany that's named something along the lines of "soldiers are murderers". Furthermore, almost no-one joins the military, so a lot of the people that do sign up are seen as social outcasts.

But honestly they either get closer to federalism or the break up. Becoming a federation similar to the US could really create a super power.

Russia doesn't need a counter. They aren't being aggressive in the slightest. It is NATO that is being aggressive towards Russia.
