A Preventative and Humane Solution to Pedophilia?

I believe pedophilia is a genuine psychological issue that needs a legitimate research-based solution. No matter how much many may wish, execution, violence, castration, and incarceration are not long-term solutions. Nobody chooses to be a pedophile. It is an ailment of the mind. Serious research needs to be done into this illness on all fronts. It's amazing how little we actually know about it. Once we know it's cause(s) whether they be genetic, environmental, circumstantial, etc., we can begin work on curing it or at the very least treating it in humane ways. It has caused so much pain throughout the course of humanity and we have only taken reactionary measures to counter it. It's time we start taking preventative measures instead. It also seems that some people have not made some distinctions. Pedophilia is a warped sexual attraction but it does not define the person. Wanting to cure pedophilia is not kindness or compassion towards pedophiles and their desires but rather a preventative measure to protect children from sex crimes. Pedophile=/=Evil Person, Pedophile=/=child molester, pedophile=/=men exclusively, pedophile=/=criminal

I think if hyper-realistic CGI content was allowed then it would help combat the commissioning of real child abuse content. I find it stupid that if content is too realistic, it's illegal. You can't hurt a child that doesn't exist. Still, this wouldn't solve the problem that pedophilia is in society. We need more research into it to fully understand it in both males and females. The allowing of hyper-realistic CGI content would likely help extensively with this research as well.

These are all reactionary measures and not preventative. Also, you can't do any of these for the sole reason of someone's sexual preferences without violating basic human rights. This would do nothing to solve the problem. These are just punishments.

Honestly tho, make treatment openly available and possibly an insentive for doing so.

Also harshly increase punishment for offenders. More reason to stop, less reason to offend.
