See, you're just trying to use "keeping to myself" as a safety blanket for selfish, repugnant behavior. Yes, if you win it big at the lottery, you'd be an asshole to keep it all for yourself.
If I die and give it all to my family via a will is that still in the wrong? I don't want to bother with society (and Uncle Sam will still get his tax cut out of it regardless of how I ask for it as a payment) and I shouldn't be obligated to be a part of it.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you don't want to be part of our society, then you shouldn't be able to use our legal tender. Because that's part of our society that you're leeching off of, yet you wouldn't care to contribute anything yourself? How parasitic.
And yeah, wills aren't quite good enough. You talk about this sense of entitlement towards the things you've "earned," but there are a few quandaries about that. 1.) if you won the lottery, you did not "earn" that prize. You just won it. And 2.) inheritance is not earned either. It's inherited. Your principles seem rather inconsistent and ill-thought-out.
I'm obviously limited because of government intervention. For example I can't go out and cut down trees to build my own log cabin and live the rest of my life hunting because the government has made that illegal, they need their hands on everybody's lives.
But at least its going to someone else to better their life, even after I die. You're just upset I'm not giving it to everybody in which I respond: 1. I am not legally obligated to do so.
2. For someone like you who strongly advocates for bigger government and more social programs, you sure do want me to drop everything into charity (which doesn't garner the same results in more social-safety net countries, just look at Europe in comparison to the US in terms of charitable donations).
Uncle Sam will still get his tax cut out of it
Oh man, what a drag. Big scary government preventing people from being fucking leeches. What a tough life.
I don't give a shit if you're not legally obligated to do so. You'd still be a bad person. You already are.
...And? It's not about how effective it is.
Putin invades Crimea, no problem.
>Someone living in a house he made and eats the food he hunted for is leeching off others.
You were going to say that anyways. Your shitty guilt trip on what others should do with their money shows you're not in any way a better person.
his isn't the first time you've made this argument. You never could explain how "It's mine, leave me alone." is somehow more selfish than "It's ours, give it up!"
What's the point in charity if the government is big enough to provide the same services through a higher tax?
Charitable donation are things people CHOOSE to do because they want to help out of their own free volition, not something they're obligated to do so others don't look down on them, like what you're doing.
inheritance tax is theft.

Yes, quite obviously.Hunting is murder, for fucking starters. You're killing sentient organisms for your own benefit. On a deeper level, you're not offering or contributing anything to society, because you selfishly don't want to be a part of it. It's not that you're "keeping to yourself." You're just lazy and worthless.
Charity should be forced. Everyone should be forced to help each other. At gunpoint.
Verb, this argument started because you said isolating yourself is not the same as being selfish. Now you're saying it is. I'm going to need clarification because you're being confusing with this.
So.....a tax?
The things you keep to yourself should only be that which is just enough to sustain your health and existence so that you can continue being a good little helper for your society. Anything else is excessive, self-indulgent, and bad.
What if the person is living only able to provide the bare necessities for himself? Is he bad for not being able to contribute to the society?

Guardian is reporting that Russia plans to expel 35 U.S. diplomats in response.
For example I can't go out and cut down trees
Why the fuck should people be allowed to cut down trees whenever they want?

Or hunt. Or anything he fucking said. (It's because Ian has spent less than hour critically thinking about this subject.)
Because a single person cutting down trees in the middle of nowhere will not affect literally anyone.
