Well I'm sorry, that's the wrong fucking answer then. You don't just fucking bitch at somebody and take this moral high ground bullshit stance and then go quiet when said reciever of bullshit asks what to do about it.
Okay Verb. Can you do me a favor here. Can you give me an example of suppossed white privilege that can't be changed or altered?

Acknowledging it doesn't stop it.
you don't just fucking acknowledge it and then go on your merry way.
I didn't read that cancer of a comic.

Oh yep, look at all my white privilege keeping me in the working poor class while there are blacks doing better than me. It sure must be a racial issue and nothing at all to do with class.

"Clearly, white people are never oppressed. Just don't ever go to South Africa and try to run a farm; you'll get raped, beaten, and have your children lit on fire."Holy shit, this video's hilarious.

I think so too. It's hilarious when people accuse SJWs of moving goalposts all the time, but when anti-SJWs do the exact same thing, like in that example you so enthusiastically gave, it's not only okay--it's applauded. You lap it up.

I lap it up? I criticized the video for being a complete strawman against what the actual discussion of white privilege is about. It's not about the Gauls, or Nazi Germany, or South Africa, it's about modern America -- or the West in general. I wouldn't typically call a cogent or relevant argument "hilarious".
1. Bullshit. I don't need a group hand holding session to tell me how to alter my life.
2. Gee that comic sure is full of telling me to acknowledge my shit and then ends on a blank note.
So the first being, percentage of prisoners. That's a fair point, but only to a degree. The american police force is well known for being corrupt. However, this little stat count here takes no consideration or makes no mention whatsover that, big shocker, maybe there's a higher percentage of crime rate in the two respective groups listed. We also have to count incidents of a crime being reported in the first place. In which case for whites, the report rate might be down when compared to blacks. I'm not saying that there's some black guy in prison who was put there unjustly over something really minor involving the police, but the comic treats this like the disparity alone is soley based off privilege. Which is a load of shit. Last note on that. If there's a black guy in prison for what could be considered an unjust reason, the same can happen to a white guy. Second. A white guy with a criminal record is more likely to be hired than a black guy with a clean slate. Okay seriously? This one is borderline playing the victim card. The comic sure as fuck isn't listing the stats on the black people who didn't legitimately meet the job standards, which a part of that percentage will be. But, you know how people are. "I didn't meet the qualifications so it must be racism."That panel also doesn't cross reference fuck all. How about we look at the percentage of white guys with a clean record not being hired? Because at this point, that's all this particular panel focuses on. Again, I'm not saying that hiring biases don't exist. But this panel is hyping up shit.
The comic isn't neccessarily wrong.
A) Complain about a problem yet provide no solution.
B) Claim that nothing can be done about it until a big group effort takes place, thus deluding themselves on some fake self perception that they're waiting for the big moment when everybody turns around, when actually, all they're doing is procrastinating on changing their own life and actually getting up and doing something about the fucking issue.
They'll talk about white privilege but fail to realize that america isn't the only fucking country on the map. What might apply to the US might not apply everywhere else.
But all they'll ever talk about is how white people have the upper hand. But only in america.
If someone could explain to me how I was born with an "upper hand", that would be great.
Quote from: PSU on February 22, 2016, 01:57:55 PMIf someone could explain to me how I was born with an "upper hand", that would be great.Think of 'white privilege' as 'class privilege', with the understanding that white people are overwhelmingly more represented in higher classes and arguably the cause of the racial division between them, and you'll be able to sort out how you may have had more opportunities presented to you than the average minority individual.

I agree though. It is class privilege. So why don't these activists call it that? Why make it something racial?
