Employers are sexist, they don't want want women working for them at all. They're not allowed to straight-up not hire them, so they pay women ludicrously less instead, to dissuade them from trying to interfere in "men's work".

What I love about these articles and videos is that they always have a tendency to vilify women's choices in child rearing as if it's a huge issue that needs to be rectified.If women want to see the pay gap closed, the onus is on them to evaluate their career prospects, not the government, nor men for that matter.
