Every few days I manage to come across a person or group of people discuss that too many cops are trigger happy and far too many people are killed by police annually. What perpetrates this conception is in great part of not only the 24/7 newsertainment, including the likes of FOX, CNN, and MSNBC, but the extreme lack of fact-checking to all of these news stories. Upon a quick 30 second Google search, one can bring up the following sources and facts that shoot-down what people think

In 2012, a grand total of 12,196,959 people were placed into custody by law enforcement all over the United States, or 3,888.2 arrests per 100,000 citizens. That's a lot, huh? But that's an entire different issue. So now how many of these arrests turn deadly?

Go to North Korea, Iran, or China if you want to complain about a police state. I've met several cops and they're just ordinary Americans serving the community

Try getting a one star wanted level in LA. You will sometimes get the motorcycle cops chasing after you firing their pistols at you. 

Even one cop killing an innocent hurts the name of police officers everywhere.
