That's pretty much my stance. Karen Traviss is okay until you realise she doesn't research lore for any existing series' she's writinf for like Halo or Star Wars (She thought there were only 3 million clones in the GAR).

For Gears of War there's that APC that has six wheels but in her books she says the thing has four wheels instead. There is a Hummer like vehicle in the lore but in her books she was talking about the six wheeled one.
