I know very little about economics an shit, but surely everyone should at least have the right to a roof and basic food and water. I have no idea how much that costs and stuff, but shouldn't that just be basic?

As Verb would say, the cost of living should be zero. But, yeah, I'd agree. Even if basic neccessities were dirt cheap compared to everything else. The words alone, "cost of living" make me cringe.

Some pretentous fucks one day decided that life had to be more complicated than in actually was and that you were required to pay more than what you already do for simply being, and trying to stay alive.

Imagine that. The cost and price of living is one day dying. And somebody decided it'd be a good idea to add on top of that stellar cost by having people waste so much of their time paying for what should only come naturally. Stupid. Unfortunately, no Bacon. Houses aren't cheap and rents aren't cheap, depending on where you live.

I disagree. If you are over 18, you deserve nothing. You should be working for it (if you are able). The only people who should get benefits are the disabled and minors.

Back in the day if you didn't hunt for your own food or contribute to your village in some type of way, you'd starve. Thats how it needs to be.

But we have cheap food easily available and more empty houses than homeless people. I'm not saying giving mansions or some shit, just a one-room thing with a piss bucket and a water tap is more than enough- just something to use a 'base of operations', as it were. when I say people should be able to (In the 21st century) get what they need to live, I mean that. Not people on benefits forgoing food for two weeks just so they can have a new phone (Which is utterly ridiculous and a serious mismanagement of priorities), just enough to live.

It's not exactly easy to get jobs, and I think it's unfair to punish people because they actively try to get them but simply can't due to bad luck or sucking at interviews or whatever. I would totally advocate not providing stuff to people who are able to do stuff but don't even show evidence of trying to apply for jobs and stuff. fuck them.

I kind of disagree with this. I'd say your rights don't extend to merely taking other people's labour/services. You have a right to pursue healthcare, for instance, but the doctor sure as shit doesn't have the right to not treat you if he doesn't like you.
