Now before you mods hit that noscope button, I asked permission from SecondClass to post this screenshot of any PM and he said yes, and I chose this one



Now this is a pretty positive opinion PM, but it doesn't contain any sensitive information. I personally think what SecondClass did should have not got him a warning. The rules should be changed on PMs. If it contains sensitive or personal information, then a warning or ban should be called for.

But if its something like this or say its even a joke, why can't that be allowed? Why ban people who post any PM or give them a warning?

Also, I believe its my fault that PMs are not allowed, because of what Challenger would do, and I bitched about it when I shouldn't have.

Come on guys, lets fix this. SecondClass has a point. What do you say?

He got a warning for trying to entice others to post PM's as well. I personally think it should be kept as is, because doing it like you want leaves a massive gray area. One person could think a PM is a joke, the other could think it's sensitive stuff, and a whole bunch of things in between. Keeping it like it is eliminates any of that possibility.

How often do you guys talk about PM's anyway? Just my two cents. Dunno what the other mods think.

Well people posted PMs before me, and I feel like I'm the big reason why people can't anymore, and that isn't fair.

It doesn't matter though what happened before. The rules have changed and you should abide by them until changed otherwise. I'm not saying your argument is suddenly invalidated though, so don't confuse what I said with that.

I have quickly learned that talking about offsite/PM info on here causes WAY too much shit to deal with, so I will avoid doing it at all.

I think the one incident between me and you Deci PERFECTLY describes that gray area. I didn't see it as a big deal, you were offended by it. Which just made a bunch of drama. While that may have been offsite, PM's aren't that different.

So i'd say keep the rules as is.
