I have been considering removing the avatar box and border, since Bnet didn't have one, but if I don't then I'll look into a fix.
You obviously already have the code to change the color of the avatar border. Would it be difficult to just separate that code from the titlebar and have a section for the avatar border color as well? It does not need to be removed, but it would be nice if you were able to customize it along with the titlebar, without being forced to have the two linked.
