Boring. Forums are not work, they are meant to post on. You should have had coup from the beginning, or at least be implementing something similar now.

It's a give and take and it's hard to find a balance. Forums are for fun, but there needs to be a few things to work toward in order to promote activity. Customization options are those things, and the most requested ones (nameplate, title bar color, etc.) are the first to be unlocked.

As far as coup goes...I've seen Bungleboards, and that's just not for me. Sorry. Some of those post backgrounds make it a chore to read text in and others are obnoxious. You're free to use that Stylish script to edit these things on your end, but I have a responsibility to say no when it would impact the look we're going for here.

I actually agree with Cheat here. It shouldn't feel like an obligation to type in some dumb custom title, it should feel like an accomplishment. Just like how custom nameplates used to be a cool, special thing, that's what custom titles are now.

Since when posting on a forum should be your second job? A forum isn't some job title you have to work up to or something in a video game you have to do a lot of shit to get. It's a forum site. Coup on Bnet was pretty damn bad with people having shitty post backgrounds and post backgrounds that made posts impossible to read.

Accomplishment =/= proud of. Believe it or not, fancy little shit does promote more posting. Myself, personally, wouldn't post just for the custom shit, but it certainly makes posting feel more important and productive.

How does having this shit promote more posting? Like I said with or without it you're still going to have people posting. Bungie.net doesn't have coup has a default but you still have a lot of people posting without it. Halo Waypoint doesn't have custom things but you still have a lot of people posting. If the only reason why people are posting on this site just to get custom shit then this site is a pathetic fail to begin with.
