The problems with companies trying to squeeze every penny they can with microtransctions every-fucking-where, the former condition with ESO that required a expensive buy+subscritpion, the frankly overpriced Evolve season pass that doesn't even give all the content and so forth. I would say that stuff like this objectively hurts the industry more than 'muh representation'.
And why do people buy these sort of games? Are they advertised as microtransction games? Are they advertised as season passes that don't give all the content? No. this is media censorship.....
The practice should be stopped at the source, not at the messenger.
The issue is that games journos have a direct influence on the indie community and the success or failures of games....
By colluding together behind the scenes, they can force change in the industry both in indie devs and to AAA devs, Right now Indie and Small Devs rely entirely on Games Journos for exposure, and being black listed to them is disasterous

Most people here are ambivalent to vaguely pro.
I've been working them over every once in a while if there's something particularly funny or big going on, but the topic won't gain too much traction otherwise. Not the right crowd.
Yeah I assumed the same thing, but I just thought it was them being miss informed on the subject... Will keep trying though, maybe it will get through XD

Seriously. Especially since a lot of the guys hired to review games in companies like IGN are fucking casual to the extreme.
Either way as long as I enjoy the game I don't give a fuck what anybody else thinks of it.
