Anyone here play this game? For those who don't, there's no respawning, it's a slow methodical game (unless you're good), there's no straight up death match, and there's one hit headshots and realistic bullet damage. It's a different kind of shooter that takes a long time to adjust to, at least in my case, and map awareness/tactical play takes precedence over fast twitch reflexes. There's a free week event currently going on that ends September 3rd and it's a good opportunity to check it out. I love this game and can't stop playing it. I currently play on Xbox but I'm honestly considering building a PC just so I can play it on there. If there is anyone here that plays, who's your favorite operator(s)? Mine is Jäger and Thatcher.

I plan on doing some house renovations, redoing the basement floor, redoing the floor on the main level (wood is better than decades' old carpet for all of our allergies), repainting, and replacing/repairing some doors and door frames that were not properly installed.
I'm very excited as our house was previously owned by a "house flipper" who did a very poor job and we could only afford to fix the non-cosmetic things before now. Hopefully, this will make this house feel like our home instead of the previous owner's.

And what can you make? Overall, I'm not that great. I can make basic stuff from a box like pancakes and muffins, but that's really it.

In exactly a week I'll be getting my gallbladder removed. I've been dealing with "gallbladder attacks" for about a year now and it was decided that it needed to be removed to resolve this issue. Though I'm nervous since this is the first time I'll be going under the knife for anything, I'm excited that I'll no longer have to deal with occasional 20-30 minute long painful attacks in my abdomen and back.
With that being said, have y'all gone through surgery before? If so, what was it for?

So the past few months have been terribly stressful for me. A lot of shit is going on in my personal life. To name a few, I have to deal with my coworkers and the customers at my shitty retail job, I started college, and my grandfather who lives with me and my family has wandered off and got lost twice because of his worsening dementia. Not to mention he's getting increasingly aggressive as well.
If in the case video games don't cut it for me, I usually take about an hour long walk around the town I live in. I'll sometimes stop by the huge lake here as well and just enjoy the view. It's really nice.

For me, it's rainy weather. Usually, people refer to rainy or cloudy days as more gloomy and negative, but I actually find them more pleasant than sunny and shining days. The sound of rain or view of clouds sailing through in the sky is very relaxing to me. Rain always makes me feel cozy and content.

This popped up in my recommendations and I thought I'd share it. Basically, this veteran stumbled upon a dead Japanese officer on the battlefield with what's called a good luck flag and promised to return it to the family of said officer after the war at some point.

How did you almost die?
At around the age of 4 I got a really bad tooth infection. The infection eventually spread to the rest of my body and I became severely ill to the point where I couldn't even get out of bed. It was hell. I ended up in the hospital and was treated there for a couple of weeks. The doctors told my parents I had a weak immune system which allowed the infection to almost kill me.

They have amassed a large following of boomers and gullible morons.......just by making vague posts on an image board for almost 2 years. All around social media you'll find these people talking about "following the white rabbit" or whatever and they act like Alex Jones whenever something involving Trump happens. It's a little disturbing. Look at this channel. All the videos are about Qanon and analysis of their posts. This isn't the only one either. There's many, many other channels exactly like this that post really tinfoil hat tier stuff Then you have people going to Trump rallies in Qanon shirts And Qanon rallies Like, good job fooling all these people. Seriously.

From Bungie's "This Week At Bungie": The Old Gods
There are some relics of a different time still being hosted on our servers. Next week, we're retiring a few legacy services from the Halo era and consolidating others. Resident Archivist Roger Wolfson will explain what's changing and how it may affect you.
Roger: We're doing some (once a decade) spring cleaning on the halo.bungie.net site. First off, it's time to retire those old, read-only forums. If you have some archived threads bookmarked that you like to revisit for nostalgia purposes, please take some screenshots before we say goodbye to those forums.
Do you remember Bungie Pro Video? We said back in 2008 that we'd keep your renders available to download for a couple months. Ten years later, we're getting around to cleaning them up, so grab anything you want to keep around in the next week. Finally, the "details" views of old Halo matches will be trimmed down to just the line-item scores; your career pages will still have your overall medals chest, but individual games won't.
These changes go into effect on June 28 at 10 a.m. PDT. If you need to save anything, get it done before then. https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46965

The European Parliament will vote Wednesday on legislation that some argue could change the internet as we know it. The proposed law, Article 13, would require large platforms like Facebook and Reddit to scan content before it's posted online and take down material they think could be stolen. That means memes, which often use pictures that are subject to copyright, could be targeted, the Independent reports.
In an open letter to the president of the European Parliament, tech experts and prominent figures -- including World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales -- said Article 13 presented an "imminent threat" to the future of the internet.
"By requiring Internet platforms to perform automatic filtering all of the content that their users upload, Article 13 takes an unprecedented step towards the transformation of the Internet from an open platform for sharing and innovation, into a tool for the automated surveillance and control of its users," the letter states.
Authors of the letter also wrote that they doubt the legality of Article 13, saying it goes against the European Charter of Fundamental Rights. David Kaye, a UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression also published a letter online, which outlined his concern that Article 13 would lead to censorship. A spokesperson for the European Parliament didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. https://www.cnet.com/news/eus-proposed-article-13-could-threaten-the-internet-memes/I've been hearing about this all day. Thoughts?

For those who have played it already, what is your opinion the game? Saw a few gameplay videos and decided to buy it for $5 from the Xbox store. I'm a huge fan of post-apocalyptic games.
