It took some time to save up for it, but I finally got it built. I'm pretty content with the way it turned out. Add me on Steam if you guys want to play some time. I've got a plethora of games including GTA 5, Arma 3, Arma 2, H1Z1, Black Mesa, Garry's Mod, and every single Valve game.
Steam ID (avatar is the same one as on these forums): Legit 8-Bit
PC Specs: -ASUS Z97 PRO -Intel i7 Processor Devil's Canyon 4.0 GHz -256GB SSD -2TB HDD -Nvidia GTX GeForce 560 (hoping to save up for the 970 soon) graphics card -Apevia ATX-CB700W PSU -DVD drive -Black case (can't remember what kind) -8GB RAM
My father helped me out with my build because he's an IT guy and has been working on computers for many years. I was only able to buy the motherboard and CPU myself, but fortunately, my dad came through and helped me out with everything else. Also, gave me the graphics card for my birthday which was a couple days ago.

So basically, I had to write a monologue for my animation class and I decided to base mine off of the short story, "Dirt," by Tobias Buckwell. Instead of the story being narrated by Gage Yevgenny talking about his life, I chose to turn the spotlight toward the one and only Rookie from Halo 3: ODST. If you guys could take the time out of your day to read it as well as give me feedback, I would really appreciate it. I really put a lot of time and effort into this project, despite the fact that it's not exactly original nor is it too extensive. That being said, please enjoy. P.S. There are a couple of Easter eggs here and there. Some are better hidden than others, so try to find them. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zKGfXrBj6VlpIP5Cmyf6EFdulCpkj6y9Gs6gGvHgKEk/edit?usp=sharingEdit: For the record, there are a couple of pretty bad grammatical errors because this is a heavily edited version of the first draft, my bad.

So a couple days ago, a girl kissed me for the first time in my life. I was under the impression that she was interested in me, but it turns out that she was leading me on. This has happened at least three times since the beginning of the year and it's killing me. It doesn't help that I am depressed, either. I need something to help me keep my head up and look forward to because I feel like absolute shit all the time.

In about eleven weeks from now, I should have enough money saved up from walking my neighbor's dogs to build my own gaming desktop. I plan to do this because I've been tired of console gaming for quite some time now and the greater majority of my friends are PC gamers. I'd like to be able to run a large amount of games on ultra settings, which is why it will be taking month in order to save up enough money in order to buy the parts.
Who here has built their own PC? What can you suggest for me to do from personal experience? What specs would suffice my needs?
Edit: My budget for everything, including peripherals, would be around $1,000-$1,200. This is a rough estimate. Games I'd like to play on ultra include but are not limited to: The Division, Metro 2033/Last Light, Far Cry 4, Payday 2, etc. Out of the games listed, I only have Payday 2. I plan on taking advantage of Steam sales in the future, so I will figure that out in time. Suggestions for other games?
(For the record I'm a complete noob when it comes to computers, so if I sound like an idiot when I reply to anyone, it's because I am when it comes to this stuff.)

I thought that a couple of days after the MCC came out, people would have already formed their own opinions on it.
Do you guys like it? Is it as great as you thought it would be? A let down for some?
I just thought it would be neat to hear the original Halo community's (<3) opinion.
Edit: I got it, you guys! I'm currently creating a big ass forge map on Awash with my step-brother and we've been having a blast. I've also gotten some hands on time with CE multiplayer (new for me) and that's also pretty great. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on Cairo Station in H2 campaign because I suck at Legendary.
Gamertag: L3G1T 8Bit Add me if any of you want to play some time.

Who here is watching it? If so, which team are you rooting for? I myself will be supporting Purple Rain because LEGIQN is great. If any of you guys don't know what this is, it's basically a tournament for a bunch of different Halo teams that are competing for $50k. The teams are: -StK -OpTic Halo -Believe The Hype -The Agency -VwS Gaming -TCM Gaming -Purple Rain -Str8 Rippin http://www.eslgaming.com/news/optic-tcm-and-many-more-taking-part-halo-mcc-launch-invitationalIf you guys would like to watch it, go to Halo's Twitch.tv channel. Here's the order they will be playing in:

Who here is losing sleep over it? I know I am.
Discuss how excited you are to shit your pants at the mercy of a horror game.
Edit: Played the game, major spooks were had, guys. I recommend playing in the dark with a headset turned up all the way. It's worth it. The smallest things scared me because the noises are all really rich. The androids are pretty spoopy as well. I've yet to come into contact with the full-on alien, only a couple of cutscenes.

I'm having a fucking ball with this game. I'm having a ton on fun and I can tell I'm going to have so much fun with it in the future. How are you all liking it?
Edit: any of you have it for the Xbox One?

So, I've been getting pretty sick and tired of my gamertag for Xbox Live and Steam. I'm really stuck on trying to come up with a brand new one because I'm really shitty at making those things up.
Best I can come up with is "PerfectConundrum" or something along those lines.
If you guys can give me suggestions to build off of, that would be great.

...but DC characters vs. Marvel characters.
The other night I was playing Injustice: Gods Among Us with a great friend of mine when the idea came to my head. Not sure if it's been talked about before, but all I know now is that I need it.
With the power of current-gen I feel like this needs happen. Think about it people. Neither rosters should be limited whatsoever. I don't care how they do it, but literally just throw as many characters in as humanly possible with every conceivable costume you can think of for each hero or villain.
Nice and smooth controls with badass combos, cool stages themed by the two universes.
Discuss.

Yep, another one of these. Currently, I'm in the process of writing a 500-750 word essay on a book before tomorrow, when I start school again. Needless to say, I'm having the time of my life (sarcasm).
Ask away.

Anyone else as excited I am for this?
Also, if you don't already know what Super Hot is, there's a prototype version of the game you can play. The game has a really cool concept. Just look up "Super Hot Game". Basically the games is that time only moves when you move. It's a first person shooter.

I'll be purchasing the limited edition. I've been hearing a lot of good feedback from the beta so I decided it was go-time for making a decision. That's what I proceeded to do. Plus, I really wanted the in-game stuff like the red Ghost shell, Vanguard Armory, etc.
How about you guys?

I'll post pictures, but while I'm at it, ask away. I'll be here tomorrow as well. I'll also be on an actual tour to most of the sets of the show.
If you guys want more, just ask.
