If Weapon named herself Cortana I'm going to ragequit the campaign. If they really do want to "start fresh", then let Cortana die. Weapon taking her name will just cause people to view her with suspicion and mistrust (see Esparza shitting several Infinity-sized bricks upon seeing her). Give her a new name. I've seen people toss Joy around, which I'd be...okay with I guess. Certainly better than being named after someone who BLEW UP A FUCKING PLANET JUST TO PROVE A POINT.

Also, hey let's just completely ignore 5
this is a good thing and prometheans should be forgotten about
Not disagreeing, but in terms of writing they had already set up a lot of shit. It would've been absolutely horrible, but now they're just plot threads hanging around in the abyss instead of having any conclusion (minus Space Hitler suddenly having an epiphany because a Brute said he killed her not-boyfriend) and it bothers the ever-living fuck out of me.

My new game enthusiasm has worn out.
Melee play is awful and it seems like its like 90% due to the lack of any player collision. You either punch someone from several planets away or you phase through them and get back-smacked.
Or you clearly hear your punch connect, but nothing happens, and you die. The radar isn't real. 90% of kills in big team are on people who just walked right past you like Hellen Keller. Louder for the people in the back. Radar is probably my one major gameplay gripe.

The campaign was meh. I was pleasantly surprised with the grapple hook function and had a lot of fun. I didn't see much of a reason for open-world aside from dicking around with the grapple hook, because it suffers from the open world curse of having like....what, 3 chores to do? Rescue Marines who just want mac n cheese, capture FOB, destroy refinery/weapons depot. The DPRK propaganda towers are pretty funny, I suppose.
Also, hey let's just completely ignore 5 (aside from dialogue that sounds like 343 apologizing for it) and introduce more new enemies! What happened to the Guardians? Fuck 'em! What happened to the Created and the Prometheans? Fuck 'em! Where's Arby, Buck, Halsey, Palmer, and Lasky? Fuck 'em (maybe we'll add them in story DLC, who knows)!
The core gameplay is really fun, and I've been having a blast on Multiplayer. The progression and MTX are pure cancer, however.

On episode 8 right now, but I love it so far. Kingpin's plan is very obvious from the beginning, but it was still interesting to see the characters try to bring it to light to send him back to prison. Bullseye is also a welcome surprise.
The Perfect Game episode felt an art-house episode with the Bullseye flashbacks, and I oddly liked it.

I think Mads Mikkelson would've been a better choice, but I digress. I'll still check out the series to see if it's any good.

I know Jason Todd is supposed to show up in the series, but did the writers accidentally mix up the lines for Todd and Dick Grayson? Dick is a golden boy worthy of the Batman cowl, not a brutal Murder McStabby that shoots people and breaks their necks.

I doubt the current Republican controlled senate would accept this plan in a million years because the borders are drawn in such a way that the Democratic Party would automatically gain +6 senate seats.
I was gonna say, is all of California a blue state? I was wondering if any gerrymandering was being slipped through on how the borders were suggested, but I don't know enough about the political climate there apart from California being some sort of hippie-liberal-nightmare-paradise place.
No, I think NorCal has a slightly heavier Republican presence. The idea in Southern Oregon for a "State of Jefferson" is where Southern Oregon and NorCal form into a new state because "the liberals control everything." Just like the State of Jefferson dream though, this will be laughably be killed off. As said before, the Democrats would just end up with more seats.

invaders can kill NPCs?
Yep, it was a hack. And guess what From's doing about it? Jack shit.

The real problem with invasions is that the PvP itself is just bad and nobody should be subjected to it.
It's especialy bad in this remaster becuase:
-The Anti-Cheat does not actually work against malicious cheats such as instant-cursing weapons -The Anti-Cheat is exploitable because cheating invaders can seed your world or character with varibles that will get YOU banned or brck your save -Backstab/hornet ring meta was not fixed -The game is even more buggy with phantoms in the world than the original was -Miyazaki gave Invaders estus again -Upgrade based matchmaking has made the problem with Dark Magic Twinking even worse
I actually had this happen, and it pissed me off. After I got to the Darkroot Basin, someone invaded me. They rushed Andre, killed him, and then I was cursed and got egghead, weapon broke, and I was killed instantly. I didn't even see the guy. Gonna have to start over.

I'll admit the woman fighting on the frontlines with a prosthetic arm took me out of the immersion, but the game looks fun enough for me to overlook it.
The comments section is the usual cancer I see.

So it's as lame and predictable as I thought it'd be. Thanks, you saved me some money.

Oh and I liked it, but some of the funny parts were timed poorly.
Spoiler Thor starts having a giggle after being revived, yet the last thing he saw was his brother dying.
Spoiler I think the Russos said it was a defense mechanism to suppress his emotions, like how awkward he acted around Rocket when they were talking about what Thor lost. It's understandable I guess. Also Nando v Movies had a great video about Thor's weapon forging that I think would've been a nice addition, though probably not entirely needed.

Playing as Northymbre. Game is running as smooth as the Warhammer games, and I'm really enjoying it.

i just need to know one thing
how much of a clusterfuck is this movie on a scale of 1 to suicide squad
i'm not asking about the film's quality, i'm asking how coherent it is
because the #1 trepidation i have going in is the fact that they're juggling 300 million characters in it, and i want to avoid a migraine
It took some getting used to, but it's not a huge clusterfuck like I feared. Movie was great, 9/10. I wasn't expecting it to be that fucking violent and dark though, so kudos to the Russo brothers. And on another good note Spoiler Thanos isn't treated like other MCU villains where he makes quippy jokes and gets tossed around. He literally annihilates the fuck out of anyone that gets in his way. And even with the huge amount of characters and story the Russos had to deal with, they still managed to flesh out Thanos in a meaningful way. It didn't feel *totally* contrived, but you could understand why he is what he is.

I can't wait, tbh. Viking age has been a huge interest of mine lately, so I'm looking forward to continuing Ragnar's work with Northumbria.
Sagas are a nice little thing for CA to play around with, so they can give us specific points in history that they may not be able to get a full game out of.

Spoiler the whole film felt like Rian Johnson showing just how empty and derivative JJ's era was and trying to turn it into something interesting.
"Snoke is a Palpatine ripoff. He's dead now, and his death services the character of Kylo Ren"
"Rey's parents are junkies also stop asking it isn't important"
Spoiler Agree with pretty much all that except Rey's parents. I think that was just Kylo fucking with Rey mentally to get her to join him in his "Nothing fucking matters anymore" crusade.

I walked away satisfied. The only parts that really bothered me were Spoiler Super-Leia (though it shows how strong she is with the Force, now that Carrie Fisher is dead her "bigger role" that the scene appeared to hype is pretty much dead in the water and stands out as very "wtf" material), and the CGI chase scene when the po-po chased Finn and Rose. I really liked seeing Luke again, but felt let down. JJ said Mark Hamill's performance was "Oscar-worthy", but it didn't seem that way to me. Mark pulled off a very serviceable Luke, but it's not award-winning by any stretch. I feel like Adam Driver and Oscar Issacs have to carry John Boyega and Daisy Ridley on their backs in terms of the new generation's acting. The visuals were great, the story-telling was pretty good compared to TFA, and--unpopular opinion--but the Porg didn't really annoy me like I predicted. Sure they probably had a scene-too-many, but they weren't Jar Jar levels of awful.

You know this won't be a popular opinion but I'll just say it
I think this game will expose that Kojima really isn't that amazing of a writer. His last masterpiece was considered MGS 3, but people forget one of the lead assistant writers who helped him, Tomokazu Fukushima, left after MGS 3. Hence why everything after wasn't exactly amazing with story.
The fact not even Guillermo del Toro understands what is going on after being explained, isn't a good sign of Kojima's "amazing mind", it's an example of someone I think has gone a little too nuts with creative freedom now that he isn't restrained by MGS.
If you want a writer who's cock people suck that actually deserves it in the Nip gaming industry, it's Yoko Taro.
But who knows, I could be wrong and people could be sucking his cock even more and he actually deserve it, but so far sorry, I don’t think he does. MGS 4 was horrible with story and 5 has none of it
That's honestly one of my biggest fears with the game. Like, it looks cool and has excellent star power with Norman Reedus, GDT, and Mads. But the trailers make this game feel like it'll be one of those, "Oh this is SO much smarter than you, the game is so deep and mind-bending, you HAVE to like this game!" types.

Why does Black Widow looks like that fucking trailer trash serial killing prostitute lmao
The only logical reasoning I've seen is that she drastically changed her appearance since she, Cap, and the other superheroes that didnt agree with the Sokovia Accords are effectively enemies of the state. Chris Evans is rocking that beard though goddamn.

I feel it's far superior to Unity and Syndicate, and have been having more fun than I thought I would. Not too thrilled about the RPG aspects and the first 10 minutes just turned me off for a bit because of how abrupt it starts, but it picked up later on.
