Thankfully I feel I have made a full recovery, although I am more then aware Ill feel sad at some point in the future. It was just immensely difficult to be with that person and having an incredible day, and then the next its over. That shit blew my mind and I just kept trying to wrap my head around it which just made it more painful and confusing. I would sit there asking myself how did this happened and what did I do to deserve this. Eventually after talking to her and my friends it became clear that I did nothing wrong, and there was really nothing I could have done. She was immensely happy with our relationship, as was I, but then the events of that day occurred and well shit hit the fan faster then I could keep up. It was a lesson in self worth, because it made me feel worthless. I had done everything in my power for her, everything she needed I provided, whether it was time or money spent I did it. She helped me through a lot of stuff, was by my side through so many thing, and was just at every step a truly remarkable girlfriend. How it happened, and how she acted towards me immediately following just made me feel completely worthless. I was discarded like nothing, and I just couldn't handle that. The best way I have gotten over it was simply to appreciate the time we had, rather then feeling it was wasted. People expected me to be angry and hate her, which I don't. Shockingly at no point during all of this did I get mad, I was just sad and hurt. Slap to the face of an experience but hey atleast I feel better. Still havent talked to her, but sounds like I'm going to have to at some point. Unsure if it is smart or not to atleast try and stay friends, feel like it would be awkward especially with what happened. As shitty as it sounds, I just woke up one day and just didn't give a shit about what happened. Maybe I am in a denial phase, or my brain just was like we can't stay sad about this shit so lets throw it into the back and forget. I still love her to death and would do anything I can to help her. But god damn was it a shit show of a night. 5
The Flood / Re: For once, I need actual advice« on: March 29, 2018, 04:36:36 PM »1st off, you will NEVER be able to recapture that same feeling as when you were together with your ex, it's impossible, don't try to compare any future relationship to it. That first point is a real son of a bitch. Mainly because it was a relationship where I was totally okay if I ended up marrying her. We were already living together, and it had been on my mind for a while. Just too young to get around to it, and then this happened lmao. I always compare people, which is a terrible thing to do but I just do it naturally. X person isn't as attractive as Y, X doesn't even have near as great as a personality as Y. Point 3 is something I'll get to in like half a year, right now I mainly just getting my side of things back in order because everything came to a screeching halt last week. 7

Whether or not this is the best place to come for stuff like this, it doesn't hurt to hear different opinions and advice.
I recently separated from my girlfriend after 6 years, and I am having a remarkably hard time dealing with it. I won't go into details as to why, because of the sheer amount of detail that goes into each element of what caused the downfall. I just don't know how to really move on from it. I can't communicate with her anymore, so I can't get closure or really anything. I honestly can't rap my head around moving on after losing the person I literally did everything with for 6 straight years. The person I have talked to literally every single day for 6 years. The only person I have ever been fully transparent with, and the only person in which I stayed genuine in every way imaginable. It was incredibly difficult and taxing to always be transparent, but I felt I owed it to her. Hell, it has been so many years since I have been this down. I haven't had thoughts of self harm since middle school and early high school, but they came again, and I got uncomfortably close to acting on it on two different occasions over the last 3 days. It's just so much to wrap my head around and I just don't understand how all of this happened. Was it a bad break up? In my opinion yes, as I have never had a break up which involved cutting all ties in terms of communication. I am just left alone with the thoughts that keep creeping into my mind, and the feeling of being alone. I hope some of you guys have been in similar situations and can give me some advice. I know I will get some joke answers, but hopefully I do get something with substance because I really do need it. 8
Well, a lot of collectors are beginning to get considerably more annoyed about people getting very limited production cars just to sell them off. While I have benefitted from that practice I do understand why it is a problem. It’s become more prominent now with the release of the Bugatti Chiron. Anyone with an ear to the ground will know that a lot, and I mean a lot, of the people who got them took delivery and immediately sold them. Not even through private sales, which is more respectable, but through open dealer driven sales. What this does is not only lets some random person who can afford it by it, but takes away that exclusive feel of being in a circle. That’s why you have companies like Ferrari who penalize people who resell their prestige cars (to be fair they penalize people for doing a lot of things). While dealerships with go and buy one, maybe two version of these types of cars, it doesn’t account for the sheer volume you see on sale.I’ve never heard of this being a problem, but working at a (lower end, mind you) car dealership I can see how it’s a problem. Is this a nation/worldwide issue or is it just limited to some dealers in your area? IIRC Pagani has never made significant fleets of its cars. Biggest run wouldn’t be much larger than 40 total (maybe C12S or F?) It’s worldwide, but only in concentrated areas. For example, stateside it’s a bigger problem then it is in places like Dubai because of the different types of collector cultures. Pagani makes super low amounts of everything. It’s why they are such a prestigious brand. Owning a BC, or an R is a huge deal. And a lot of people who own them are close friends with Horacio himself. But Pagani does things very different to other brands. While I would love to be apart of that, it’s out of my reach until the production runs are more open and higher numbers. 9

While dealerships with go and buy one, maybe two version of these types of cars, it doesn’t account for the sheer volume you see on sale. If you ever meet someone, or see anyone really, who’s looking to buy a limited production car, they will look for private sales, not public listings or houses. Two reasons, it’s one exclusive partner selling to another exclusive party, and the price is usually lower because most people respect that comradery. Public sales are almost always way above the “normal” going rate. Also buying from a dealership usually means that car has had several owners, which isn’t great. Every now and then a prestine example will go up at a dealership, even some one offs which is fine, but the “generic” orders that are sold all over the place are the problem. It’s effected people’s views on certain brands for allowing things like this to happen, some big collectors flat out say they won’t continue to be customers. Some brands are benefitting, like Pagani, or are VERY particular about these kinds of things. In fact almost all of their “production cars” are special made one offs. Atleast in more recent years (idk about how the Zonda worked in its first few iterations). But the BC has been quite a big example of one off’s and keeping a car market incredibly special. You don’t see many, if any for sale. Cars like the 488, 911, and Aventador/Huracan (barring the 50th) aren’t the types of cars this is about. It’s about the BC’s, the new wave of Agera’s, the Veneno’s, the hybrid trio. Those cars 10

Never could I have imagined the sheer amount of happiness that would come from having a canine best friend. I was told Shiba’s would be a bad first dog, but man has it been awesome.
Over a year in, and sure some minor furniture damage, but so worth it. 15

A lot of people I’ve known don’t have an interest in even chasing women simply because they are distracted by other things. Some come around to it some don’t. Whether that’s good or bad is up to the person 18
It’s most likely because they are pretty sweet cars from a technological standpoint. And they have the backing of being the “futures car”.
It’s mainly just throwing around torque numbers and acceleration. They aren’t seen as performance vehicles, atleast in most circles. But they are important in a general sense. It’s just a very niche brand and most people who by into it like myself are doing it because they are “unique” in its potential and it’s fun to be apart of a growing movement. Plus Tesla is the car brand for nerds, for good reason. 19

I haven’t read, nor do I want to read 6 pages worth of responses so here’s my take.
If it’s a person you have never spoken to, or had a decent conversation with, start one. Sure it’s daunting but sometimes you have to power through things to get what you want. Find common ground, and go from there. Then you go from there. That’s where you feel out whether you actually like the person or not. Then as things just progress and you guys become more familiar, then ask her for her number if she hasn’t offered it by then. There are subtle ways to ask for it but it depends on the situation. Then you talk a little longer and then you ask her out 22

The Flood / Re: Who here has traveled long distance alone?« on: January 28, 2018, 03:07:54 AM »
If your traveling within the US you should be perfectly fine. You have your phone, and now the basics of how things work. Always research the destination your going to for things like transportation, and generally places to go or avoid. Always make sure to double check your flights, be there 2 hours early (assuming your flying). When you book a hotel always double check it is the correct date (easy mistake).
Other then that all you really need is your phone and google maps to get around. Traveling overseas is when things get more complicated. It’s going to be nerve racking because you are out of your comfort zone but it’s an experience you need to become not only more independent but also more confident in yourself. 30
